We are asking individuals to create a square for a peace quilt. We intend to display the quilt containing messages and images of peace in prominent places for people to see. We need at least 300 squares to create the quilt.
Why?
Via the quilt we are aiming to spread the message of peace. Peace can only be obtained in a peaceful manner. We cannot 'fight for peace'. It starts with us, peaceful acts by an individual can spread. We aim to demonstrate love, tolerance, inner peace, world peace and compassion through the media of the quilt.
How?
Your square needs to:
include words or an image of peace.
be 24cm x 24cm in total (image / words no larger than 20cm square in the centre of your fabric to allow for sewing to other squares).
be fabric.
include your name and location at some point within the image.
Your square can:
be as creative or as simple as you choose.
include mixed media.
be painted.
